Horrible treatment to my niece. Sat for 5 hours with a head wound as the staff is glaring at her parents. Working in healthcare you should know accidents happen. Maybe not worry about judging people and do your job.

I would rate 0 if i could. We sat in the er for 5 hours. My child was actively bleeding from a head injury. No one looked at the child in the 5 hours we were there. we kept being being told they were waiting for a bed. Could be understandable except we watch the waiting room waves of patients come and go. After 5 hours we were told they didn't have a room. We took our still BLEEDING child (after 5 hours) to Kirby hospital in Monticello. In and out 30 minutes. Decatur memorial health then called dcfs on me for seeking health care somewhere else. This is by far the worst ran hospital I have ever visited. The nurses were absolutely rude. Every part of the experience was truly terrible. I would rather die on the way to a farther hospital. Less then 1 start rating.

Absolutely the worse hospital. The front beak ladies are horribly unkind and rude. I came in with my two year old son two days ago with a severe gash on his chin. They saw us and βfixedβ the problem!!! They glued it even though it clearly needed stitched. So later that evening I noticed blood pooling under the glued. We waited until the next morning to see if maybe that was normal. It wasnβt, the next morning it was bleeding out the glue. So much blood. So we went back into the hospital to have them fix it. We waited four hours without being seen. Finally left to go to Urgent care. The urgent care couldnβt do much but add more glue. Well now two days later I am back at the hospital because more blood is pooled up in the glue. I am writing this in the lobby were I am waiting (another two hours in) to have them fix what they caused!!!!! I hate this hospital. Never ever go to this hospital, unless you want to wait for hours and get treated by horribly mean staff and not even get the care you need.

My husband was brought in due to a car accident. Staff were all very nice. However, my husband almost made it out of the ER with the IV needle still stuck in his arm and the nurse realized right before we got to the lobby. My husband is also diabetic and his insulin pump was ripped off during the accident. No hospital staff checked his sugar levels or gave him insulin. When I got to the hospital 2 hrs after he was taken, his sugar levels were in the 300s. No one checked to see what meds he was on either before giving pain meds (that he had to convince them to give him before leaving). He almost passed out from the pain he was in.

Dangerously understaffed on the 5th floor. Had the secretary checking on patients. Female nurse forcefully held my arm digging in my arm for a vein I had to yell at her to stop! The male nurse Tony A shut down my heprin iv and then turned it back on and tried to cover up what he did. he smiled at me when i begging for help from the chest pain. I called to the ER from my room to beg someone to come help me. I was terrified. Then the Doc William R insted of helping me with my SMA + dissection pushes me off onto the GI doctor and sends me home. I took myself to St Johns to save my own life. NEVER send anyone you love to this medical facillity. I listened to elderly people yelling from their beds for help for HOURS!! Then I listened to the nurses YELL at them for begging for help. I was stuck in my bed and had to wait 30 to 45 just to use the bathroom.
